Now that you’ve TAKEN STOCK of your current state of blossoming, you’ve taken some time to acknowledge yourself for everything you’re doing really well, and you’ve made room for your longings and wishes, it’s time to TAKE ACTION!
If you’ve been following this process, you’ve had some time to contemplate your Longings and Wishes… to notice the areas in your life that have been lying dormant, wilting or shriveling up!
Now it’s time to ask yourself, “What aspect of my life is in most urgent need of my care and attention? Where do I really need support? Which petal on my flower is draggin’ the whole blossoming operation down?”
Trust the answer that comes to you, no matter what your mind tells you.
Your mind, for example, may tell you that what you really need is to get a job and make some money. Of course this may be true. But it’s possible that there isn’t as much urgency as your mind would have you believe. What you may really need -- even more than a job -- is a healthier, happier body. Or to come out of isolation and connect with more people who speak “adult.” Or to re-member your spirit, to invite soulfulness into your life.
Chances are, when you let yourself do that thing that makes you come alive (even if your mind can’t see the benefits right away), it leads you to that next thing that’ll bring even more aliveness.
Who knows? Maybe you’ll give yourself a break from your job search so that you can have some nourishing friend time. And then, over a cup of tea and a lively chat, your friend will tell you about a job opening she just heard about that totally excites you. You see? That’s how it works. Magic.
(If you’re curious to learn more about how we can bypass the mind and make decisions that are really healthy for us, that we can trust, you might want to check out my Designed to Blossom page.)
One last thing: In my work with women, I often find that the greatest strides happen when they let go of unnecessary panic. When they let go of the thought that everything has to change right away, and if it doesn’t, they might as well not bother.
We live in a state of such overwhelm. It can be so hard to know where to even start. What to prioritize. This is why I’m encouraging you to take it easy, to take it slow… and to trust that starting at all – with just a tiny gesture of self-love -- is more important than starting in the perfect place.
And remember: Just because something is lying dormant doesn’t mean it needs to be awakened immediately. It takes a baby more than 9 months to ready itself for birth, and the same time (if not MUCH MORE) for a mom to ready herself for mothering. There’s something beautiful about surrendering to a gestation process, and trusting the innate, organic timing of our blossoming.
In love, trust and more patience than may feel comfortable,
Rosy
