One of my
biggest life learnings and most cherished ‘art forms’ has been my
almost 20 year-long relationship with my (Danish!) husband, Kim.
While Kim and I enjoy a great
deal of harmony, we are also profoundly different from each other – as most
couples are. Our shared path has not always been smooth or easy!
Over the years, we have needed to learn a great deal about what it means to
truly accept another human being, without abandoning ourselves in the process.
For us, and I know for many, intimacy is a daily practice of
awakening -- full of beautiful, painful, humbling & forever-stretching trials
and errors, and potentially transformative lessons to be learned.
When it comes to theBLOSSOMING flower (and process), few "petals" are as important, or challenging, as the one that involves our relationship to our Significant Other (whether we have one, are longing for one, or find ourself letting go of one).
This newsletter is dedicated to the exploration of BLOSSOMING in the context of Partnership -- on many planes. We'll be looking at:
How to keep blossoming while in a relationship with an Other (Don't miss theMAINARTICLE"Blossoming with -- or without! -- our partners", and theANNOUNCEMENTre. a Blossoming Support Group starting OCT. 2!)
How the process of separation and/or divorce can actually catalyze a beautiful BLOSSOMING PROCESS. (To the right, learn about the work of ourfeatured expert: RACHEL WALKER, MFT)
Menopause, as a Blossoming Rite of Passage -- "Partnering up" with the Great Mother and our Life Purpose! (see "Menopause: The Magical" -- the Telesummit)
How we can nurture and support the ULTIMATE PARTNERSHIP -- the one all of us have with our PLANET!!!!! (Down and to the right, see "PEOPLE & the Planet" -- an exciting event coming up!)

When theTV show “Thirty Something” came out, I was living
in Europe. So I missed it entirely. But recently, a friend of mine gave me the
DVD set to the show’s first season, and I started to watch it.
Wow. Whether you’re a fan of the show
or not, they really nailed some of the issues that can come up for a (white,
middle class, heterosexual!) couple once kids enter the picture!
I certainly could relate to many of the themes addressed
in this T.V. drama, and I recognize many of the themes in my clients’ lives as
well.How often we partners feel
like ships passing in the night, constantly taking shifts, bartering free time
for responsibilities!
I remember some good friends of mine, the parents of
twins, who used to fight over who got to clean the bathroom! For a while there, scrubbing the toilet
was much more desirable than having to be with the kids.
And how many of us feel like as much as we love our
partners, at some level, they just don’t get an essential aspect of our
experience. Or, for whatever
reason, they just can’t seem to see and appreciate all that we do -- for them,
for our kids, for our family.
Or, they don’t fully appreciate all that we’ve sacrificed,
let go of or put on hold, in order to show up so fully for the family...
This is the 1st time ever that a Telesummit has been held about the MAGICAL part of Menopause. I am deeply honored to be speaking at this event, along with 18 other visionary women thought-leaders.
These speakers feel passionately that it is time to bring menopause out of the closet, as I do, and have agreed to speak for free to you – for a limited time only.
This event will start on the Harvest Moon on September 12 and end on the Autumn Equinox (in the northern hemisphere) on September 23. There will be two fabulous calls per day, at 11am PST/2pm EST, and 5pm PST/8pm EST. You will have complete access to all of the calls live, and don’t worry if you can’t make a call, the recording will be available for free for 48 hours afterwards.
I invite you to register now so that you can get these inspiring calls in your calendar!
I’ll be speaking on how we are all DESIGNED TO BLOSSOM, and adding what I've learned working with "Human Design" and the Blossoming arts to the collective pool of inspiration, on September 20th, at 5:00PM. I feel so honored to be a part of this much needed discussion.

Rosy Aronson Ph.D.
has remained committed to grounding, freeing and connecting people through the creative process since 1987. Today, along with raising her beloved daughter, Rosy works as a writer, artist and spiritual counselor in Berkeley, CA. She supports and empowers creative souls, blossoming moms, and unconventional livers and learners all over the world, and in a variety of ways.
(someone whose work and life I respect beyond measure!)
...works with mothers who are transitioning through separation and divorce.
Her services focus on the practical matters inherent in the process, as well as on the deeper issues influencing the journey: personal identity, loss, loneliness, trust, intimacy, parenting, etc.
Women in any phase of the process work in groups and/or individually with her to strategize, face emotional hardship, develop inner strengths, discover buried gifts and longings, and build meaningful lives out of radical change.
Experience tells Rachel that separation and divorce is one of the most powerful catalysts for personal growth there is.
Within the upheaval of this transition lies a rich and fertile ground for inner blossoming.
... an initiative that uses the power of story and films about people healing through their connection to the natural world, to be hosted at Rosy's home in Berkeley.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.
~Flavia Weedn
Once the realization is accepted that even between the closest human beings infinite distances continue, a wonderful living side by side can grow, if they succeed in loving the distance between them which makes it possible for each to see the other whole against the sky.
